Who Flipped the Script?

So who was the first to use the script fonts that every body and there brother flipped a hundred times? Well, it was a smaller company from Irvine, California called Sports Specialties. They had the official license for on field NFL as well as NBA headwear in the mid to late 80's.  They were later bought out by NIKE. Made famous by NWA for not giving a fuck while wearing this brand of cap.

UNLV sports specialties script

Back in 1990'-91' The UNLV Runnin Rebels were killing it so hard that the entire country was watching. The Shark tank aptly named after the legendary Coach Tark "The Shark" Tarkanian, is where they would set the stage with fireworks before each game and a crowd you couldn't fuck with.

SnapBack to the Future...

A long long time ago in a city not so far far away from you, there was a time when people wore hats that had an adjustable snap closer in back that allowed the wearer to change the size of the cap themselves.
In the early 90's the dawning of a New Era of fitted hats had stormed the shelves of stores across the land.  The empire of fitted hats quickly suffocated the snap back industry and all its smaller less competitive brands and forced store owners to pack up all snapbacks and hide them away so they wouldn't be destroyed by the empires clones.
Fast forward to the present day wear people are beginning to unearth the gems from the past in there attics and basements, storage units or closets. The snap backs of the past are now being prized once again for there sweet original fashion style points. It is now safe to pull them back out from the shadows and put them on.
